Aerocon was formed in 1994 to consolidate and improve the
mechanical conveying section of its' parent company VAC-U-MAX. As a separate
entity Aerocon now provides a range of mechanical conveyors, bulk bag
handling equipment, bag dump stations and similar equipment that provide
a filterless alternative for clients when transferring bulk solids and
powders. Initially established using the Aero-mechanical technique of
conveying the company has expanded to include flexible augers and screw
feeders that range in capacity from a few pounds per minute to 50,000
lbs/hr.
Markets Served
Aerocon equipment and services were established in North America initially
but are now available worldwide. Primary markets are the Chemical, Beverage,
Food and Feedmill industries. The conveyors are particularly effective
for gently handling friable products and on conveying distances from 10
to 100 feet. Such diverse products as TiO2, Chopped Fiberglass, Pasta,
Carbon Black, Tea, Coffee, Cake Mixes, Paint, Brake Linings and Cement
can all be transferred in a dust free environment that typically only
requires a 2 horsepower (1.5 Kw) motor.
Technologies
Drawing on the extensive experience of powder handling Aerocon has introduced
major improvements to the Aero-Mechanical Conveyor. Clean-In-Place housings,
independent tensioning and flood feed inlets have all been Aerocon innovations.
The unique properties of a combination of fluidized and mechanically assisted
conveying enables high transfer rates at low levels of power.
Similarly the design of The Aeroflex flexible auger conveyor with one
piece 'obround' flighting together with a standard of construction suited
to the riggers of today's industrial marketplace, has elevated the standard
of this type of conveyor.
Also as a UL certified manufacture of control panels our engineers are
capable of supplying simple up and in applications or complex plc controlled
systems
Technical Services
After consultation with a customer to arrive at system design and equipment
specifications, customer's materials can be tested for flow characteristics
and other qualities under simulated conditions in the company's well-equipped
test laboratory. Equipment designs are rendered on CAD. Drawings can be
provided on Disk. Complete installation, startup, operator training and
follow-up support are offered.
